Hourly Rate: Starts at $19.62

Sign-On Bonus: Earn $500 after six (6) months of full-time employment, and an additional $500 after nine (9) months of full-time employment.

Position Summary

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide direct care to the individuals supported in The Arc Rockland’s Residential program. As a DSP, you’ll do more than just provide care – you’ll make a meaningful impact by helping individuals live fulfilling lives. The role of a DSP is shaped around the unique needs and interests of the people you support. Whether it’s cooking a favorite meal, gardening together, enjoying music, or exploring new hobbies, you’ll have the chance to create experiences that matter.

 

Role’s Responsibilities

• Collaborate with individuals and potentially their families to plan and implement activities that reflect their goals and interests

• Assist with daily living needs, including personal care, transportation, medication administration, and community outings

• Provide support and encouragement to help individuals achieve personal milestones and live as independently as possible

 

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Driver’s license must have been active for a minimum of two (2) years
