Hourly Range – $22.63 – $23.00

POSITION SUMMARY: (Essential Functions of Position)
Under general direction, is responsible for maintaining, repairing and performing preventative maintenance services on all equipment and structures at Agency owned buildings and leased properties.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: Five years of experience in building operations in a maintenance capacity.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs):
•Extensive knowledge of building trades,
•Extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment related to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
•Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
•Ability to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner
•Must be available or emergency repairs and shared weekend and evening on call responsibilities
•Ability to visually detect maintenance problems
•Must be willing to work flexible hours
•Must be proficient with basic tools used in the maintenance field
•Good organizational skills
•Valid driver’s license and meet Agency driving standards

 

Physical Requirements:
Postural
•Walking and standing frequently. Sitting Occasionally.
•Must be able to move extremities and spine through functional range of motion from floor to overhead to complete maintenance tasks. Working in awkward postures is occasionally required when performing aspects of the job.
•Reaching forward continuously
•Squatting, kneeing, half-kneel frequently to attend to low level issues

Dexterity
•Must be able to extend arm(s) and hand(s) in any direction
•Must be able to seize, hold and grasp items, including hard to handle items (e.g. large furniture)
•Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as working with hand tools
Agility-Material Handling
•Lift up to 50 lbs frequently. Lift or move items more than 50lbs typically with assistance.
•Pushing and/or pulling of at least 50lbs F to move items. Pushing/pulling more than 50lbs F with assistance.
•Must demonstrate sufficient capacity to lift, carry, push and pull.
