Position Summary

The Teacher’s Aide at Prime Time for Kids supports classroom teachers in a small special education preschool serving children with disabilities. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, preparing materials, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and helping students with eating and bathroom routines. Teacher’s Aides provide supervision throughout the day and contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning atmosphere. Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to student growth are essential, as aides work collaboratively with teachers and staff to foster meaningful relationships and promote developmental progress.

• Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning environment.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the classroom to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Support students with eating, bathroom routines, and other daily needs.
• Supervise children throughout the day to ensure safety and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement classroom activities and lessons.
• Provide compassionate and individualized support to students with disabilities.
• Foster positive relationships with students and contribute to a nurturing environment.
• Adapt to changing classroom needs and maintain a flexible, team-oriented approach.

 

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience with children, preferably children with special needs
