Dear Family,

Thank you for placing your trust in ARC of Rockland. Your loved one may live in one of our ARC homes. He or she may be enrolled in an ARC recreation program. Perhaps your son, daughter or sibling has secured employment with the assistance of ARC—or found meaningful volunteer work with the help of this agency. You may have a preschooler in ARC’s Prime Time for Kids Early Learning Center or a school age student in our Upper School. Maybe your brother or sister is a member of our Abilities initiative for adults with autism spectrum disorders. Whatever the specific support, you can rest assured that we will continue to earn your confidence by providing professional, compassionate, quality services. Equally important is our confidence in you as partners in our mission.

As you know, government funding has diminished considerably over the past decade. Yet our expectations—and yours—remain as great as ever. We intend to provide an ever broadening array of opportunities for the people who rely on us year ’round.

In upcoming months we plan to enhance the number of trips to sites of educational and recreational interest for children and adults. We will purchase additional technological supports, including adaptive equipment, to enable people to better communicate. We will provide more job coaching with the goal of increasing employment opportunities for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. And, we will expand supports and services for individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorders. To accomplish all that we intend to achieve in 2017, we are counting on your help.
